Academic Staff MemberDr Marvin Reiff has been an Academic Assistant to the Chair since June 2024. He studied Law at the University of Münster (2013 - 2019). There he completed the specialised foreign language training Derecho Español with an internship in Santiago de Chile as well as the Law in Europe specialisation. He was also involved in setting up the Law Clinic Münster as head of department, was a student assistant at the Insurance Research Centre and spent a semester abroad at the Université Panthéon-Assas in Paris. After completing his 1st Staatsexamen in 2019, he began his dissertation on "Responsible Ownership", supervised by Prof Dr Petra Pohlmann, which was funded by the German National Academic Foundation with a doctoral scholarship. At the same time, he was involved with GermanZero and worked as a research assistant at the Düsseldorf law firm Arnold Ruess and as a lecturer at the International School of Management. Marvin Reiff defended his dissertation at the University of Münster in autumn 2023 and published it in the series "Studien zum Privatrecht" (Mohr Siebeck) in 2024. He has also already written several specialist articles and given a number of lectures on his research, including at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and Stanford Law School. Since May 2023, he has been a legal trainee at the Berlin Court of Appeal, with training stations at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection and the Berlin law firm Lindenpartners, among others. Marvin Reiff researches sustainable private law with a special focus on property and political economy. He is a member of Lawyers for Future and the informal research networks Kolleg Verantwortungseigentum, Junges Nachhaltigkeitsrecht and LPE Germany.
